INNOVATIVE INTERIORS

SCROLL

Armanino decided it was high time to redecorate. No, not the office, but the whole company culture. Enter the Innovation Committee, a handpicked ensemble of divided into four squads, each on a mission. Lucky me, I got to captain one of these squads, leading the charge on idea generation.

The Challenge

Use the office interiors to spread some creative magic and light the fires of innovation. My role was to whip up, sort through, and select ideas that would scream creativity and inspire innovation. The goal? Cultivating a culture that thrives on questions, chats, and fresh ideas—from every single nook and cranny.

The Solution

I led a design thinking escapade where ideas were brewed, scrutinized, polished, and put to the test before they saw the light of day. Our strategy to turn the workplace into a haven of inclusivity and innovation was threefold:

  1. Generate Energy by Thanking All: A pat on the back for efforts, not just results. It’s like recharging everyone’s batteries, one “thank you” at a time.

  2. Cultivate Diverse Interactions: Crafting spots where employees could escape their desks, mingle, and connect.

  3. Inspire All to Overcome Challenges: Creating moments for positive self-reflection, delivering wisdom and motivation as satisfying as a room makeover reveal.

The Results

No fancy KPIs here, but success was clear through three key metrics:

  1. Cost Efficiency: Managed a budget of $200k and came in under by a neat 25%. Talk about getting bang for your buck!

  2. Project Management: From blueprint to the final flourish, I nailed every deadline, secured nationwide vendors, and oversaw installations across nine U.S. office locales.

  3. Enhanced Reputation: This project didn't just change spaces; it changed perceptions. I built trust and credibility with the higher-ups and peers, establishing myself as a bona fide creative leader within the organization.

In the end, this wasn't just an interior redesign; it was a full-blown cultural renovation. And it all started with a few cheeky ideas and a lot of creative elbow grease.

"This booth went well and everything fit. The charging stations were interesting and kept people there. The trivia made people stand in line. We stood out for our experience and I think thats a good thing. We got a crap ton of action."
